    Still Talking About Miami

ESPN/ABC is killing me. These haters need to go back to what they do best-sucking USC's [censored]. ESPN is going to be content to run this through the mill for a decade.
Something that amuses me is that they continually reference the stomping on the logo at UL, something that while shows disdain for the opposition is not an offense

It's getting overdrawn quite a bit. I thinking the whole stomping the logo thing is stupid, and it should be grounds for suspension. It causes incidents like the one that happened last week. I think if Shalala had given out some more justified punishment, this thing would have quitened down alot by now.

Got to disagree on this bro.
I don't even think about the stomping thing.
One game suspensions don't cut it.
Winless Duke this week and GA. Tech next week.
I don't see the discipline being as just as it should of been.
Imagine one of those 10 pound helmets hitting a skull. Major damage. If not life threatening.
    Hate to say it.
But seems like Miami, even the president of the college said. It's ok. We would rather be known as were known, than to lose a game or a bowl possibility.
    Seems it's bout $$$$$$$

    Re: Still Talking About Miami

We know that $ does play a role in big-time college football. It is an evil that comes with it. Were I the president at Miami, the suspensions would have been heavier, but I have seen some dispicable things happen at other programs (not fighting, but "violations of team rules"), and the punishment not fit the crime.

If we argue to suspend players for stomping on a logo, then suspensions should be leavied for excessive celebrations as well (neither warrants one).

    Sounds good to me.

A point in fact where college football needs to reflect at it's policies and that of schools.

The severity of a crime is punished different under the law isn't it.

So we need to do the same with our sports programs. I just don't think Miami looked at one thing besides money and bowl bids.

    I will say one thing.
I think Coker has some great help. If not he probably won't be back as the head coach next year. If he does. He may stand a chance.

All in all the logo thing vs. this. No comparison. No discipline given as far as sending a signal. Other than we slapped a few wrist.
